Bluebonnets

I went and got Kresee from school this afternoon...Nap hair and all I decided to take some pictures of the kids...We parked by Franklin and went to a lady's house that I know to take a few in front of her tulips...Took these in about 1 whole minute...Then hopped back in the car to get Kohen from school...
I did not pose her like this...She just sat like this...Panties showing:)
Then we picked up Kohen and headed out to the bluebonnets to try and snap a few pictures of the two of them....As always, very interesting with Kohen....
But he did finally sit down long enough to get a few cute ones....
I only took about 5 minutes to take their pictures out here as well...Let them chase butterflies and pick some white flowers the rest of the time....
We didn't take any last year...I don't recall them being out last year with the no rain and heat...So I looked back to April 2010...Kresee was just a year old and Kohen was turning 4 when I took these...Same spot too:)

OKC ZOO

After we went to the OKC Thunder game, we got up the next morning to head to the OKC Zoo....Kerry and I had only been here one time when we were going to OU so we were excited to take Kohen...It was a windy day...But it felt good b/c it wasn't too sunny, pretty overcast and the temperature was very nice....
Kohen wanted to head to the Children's Zoo area first where there were lots of goats!

He petted this sheep several times....
The goats liked Kerry's bracelet and his shorts pocket...
Kohen swinging on the monkey rope
Kerry staring at this yucky fish...Can't remember the name of it...But it is a very dangerous fish because it eats anything and everything...It can live out of water for up to 3 days as it squirms on land to another water source...crazy...
This anteater was so big...I didn't realize that...
This meerkat was just hanging out...It was pretty cute...
Kohen actually asked me to take his pictures several times which was a big surprise...
Then he needed to take some himself....
On the lion statues....
This big gorilla was just sitting around...
My favorite of the day was Siri...A little baby chimp who has no right arm...An adult female unintentionally hurt her and they had to amputate it...We sat and watched her for a long time...She got around pretty well but can't climb up stuff quite yet...I hope she figures it out someday....
She loved this big piece of lettuce...
But then she spotted Kohen and his large leaf...If the reflection wasn't so bad and there weren't 30 people gathered around, I could have moved for a better picture...But she is standing right in front of him..They are just staring at each other...She really wanted his leaf!!
Walking up to see the elephants
This guy is 43 years old!
When we were leaving the elephants, we spotted Siri and the others way on the other side...Soooo glad she was up close so we could see her...Everyone walking through at this point didn't even get to see her...She was so cute...
These bears were so entertaining...We watched them interact for a long time as well...They were pretty funny....
Last picture of the day...We had a really great time...Can't wait to go back to the zoo or somewhere with Kresee next time...I hate that she missed it:(

OKC Thunder Basketball

On Friday afternoon, Kohen, Kerry and I hit the road...We had to leave Kresee behind with Grammie but she didn't mind....I told Kohen it was going to be a very late night and to take a nap...Thank goodness he did.....
First stop was Norman, OK...We wanted to take a few pictures of Kohen at OU...Luckily, the campus was pretty cleared out since their spring break had just begun....
Walking over to the Heisman statues....
Jason White....
Sam Bradford Heisman Statue
All-American wall.....
The gates were all open to the football field...So we got a few pictures of Kohen IN the tunnel where the football players run out!!!...I thought this was super neat:)
I wouldn't let him go up onto the field afraid of getting in trouble:)...But here he is leading right up to the field....
We went inside the Barry Switzer Center to let him look at all the trophies....
He thought the rings were all pretty neat....
In front of the 2000 National Championship trophy...
Conference title wall...Thought it was neat that 1980 (year Kerry and I were born) and 2006 (year Kohen was born) were by each other:)
Then Kerry looked out the window to see Mike Stoops getting out of his car...So I snapped a quick picture and we seriously sprinted downstairs out the door only to see him entering the locker room doors...Dang, we were really close:)....
After all that, we headed on over to campus corner to eat at my all time favorite restaurant for my birthday dinner at Victoria's...It was amazing...Been 9 months since I've had it (Kerry took me in June on our anniversary)
Then we headed up to OKC with very full bellies to check into our hotel...Got settled and then went downtown to park for the OKC Thunder Basketball game....It was packed...2 top teams in their divisions playing each other made for an exciting game...There were tons of people...These guys were banging on their instruments...It was so loud, but fun....
I got his jersey about 2 months ago off amazon...Glad I did b/c they were double what I paid....
Getting ready for the players to come out.....Camera pics inside are always lovely!
Eventhough we were up high b/c the tickets were NOT cheap, we could see just fine....
Me and my sweet boy....
By the 4th quarter, this kid was exhausted....I really thought he was going to fall asleep in his chair, but he hung in there....We walked to the car, got out of downtown, and back to the hotel so we could get in bed at midnight!!!!...Man we were tired....Kerry and Kohen slept in till 9 and then we ate breakfast and headed to the zoo for the day....
