2012 Accomplishments

78.5--hours at the gym
678--miles for the year

I was kind of disappointed that I didn't hit my goal of 700 miles for the year....I was 22 miles short which was easily attainable had I not gotten so sick...I haven't run in 2 weeks, but that's ok...I ran almost 40 more miles this year than last year anyways, so that's good!!

My gym time was cut way back from last year....Kohen's soccer and football this Fall really put a damper on my working out time...So I missed lots of classes at the gym for 3-4 months...But I will be glad to get going again on my zumba and plyo classes come 2013!...But still 78.5 hours is great and I'm happy with it...I found a new app on my iPad that I'm excited to use this new year as well...So days when I can't get to the gym or go outside for a run, I have an option to workout in my living room!

I was able to run 3 half marathons this year....Something that I really wanted to do...The only one I didn't get to run was White Rock earlier this month...I ran the Duel back in January, then the Xpress half early March and the Rock N Roll Dallas late March....I ran a 10K in April and a 15K in May...Took it easy over the summer since it gets so hot and ran a lot on the treadmill:)....I did complete 2-5K's in November and another 10K earlier this month...

We shall see what 2013 has in store for me and my running!!

Lions Football Party

We had Kohen's JV Lions Football party today at the indoor pool...That was a fun change for the kids at the end of December...They had a lot of fun and loved getting their trophies:)

Kohen had a great first season and we loved being a part of it...I'm not sure what his plans are for next year...I think it will be a last minute decision...I dread next Fall knowing we have to coach his soccer team, Kresee will start soccer AND the possibility of football makes my head swim...At least that's months away!!

Christmas #6

We had our last Christmas yesterday at Nana and Papa's house...A day late since the roads were so bad Christmas day...They weren't great yesterday either but much better...After the kids played in the snow all morning, we headed out there for lunch and opening presents...
Kohen got a new OU jersey and Adrian Petersen Viking jersey...He got a Cotton Bowl tshirt and gift card to buy some things for the dogs at the Humane Society (that's what he requested from Kimberlie:))
All Kresee wanted was her own little Christmas tree from Nana and Papa and a bible...So I ran to Hobby Lobby and got her this sparkly pink tree that she absolutely LOVED
And she's so proud of her sweet bible stories for little girls:)
We got Nana and Papa some frames with everyone's pictures in them to hang on the wall
She took 100 pictures of everyone with Grammie's camera
The best part was Papa letting Kresee paint all his fingernails!!...What a sweet picture:)

White Christmas!!

Since we didn't leave the house or our pajamas on Christmas Day, I told the kiddos we would go out yesterday morning to play in the snow before we headed to Nana and Papa's house for our last Christmas...Kerry ran to work and so it about killed me getting them ready...Sad that I have zero energy and wore myself out getting them both dressed to play outside....But it was worth it...2nd time this month we've had some beautiful snow to play in:)..We played out in the front for awhile....

Then headed to the backyard to let the dogs run around as well...

I kept telling Kohen to not put any in his mouth...We are in the backyard where the dogs do their business...So he turns and I see his little tongue poke out just enough to lick a little bit...He thinks I don't see him:)

Christmas Morning (#5)

When we got home on Christmas Eve from the Maroney's, I attempted to take the dark picture with only the Christmas lights on...I was not doing to well, so Kerry helped me out and he got a few that I liked...We got all snuggled for a movie and then sat milk/cookies out for Santa and then were off to bed....

Surprisingly, Kerry and I were awake for awhile before the kids even woke up...We just waited in the living room for them....Kohen got a Nintendo 3DS-XL with Super Mario Bros 2 from Santa
Santa brought Kresee a new bike with a cool helmet....
Sugar, as always, was ecstatic when the kids finally woke up...

Trying out her new bike she was so excited about but it quickly went away...She got better as the day went on but felt uneasy on it...
Ellie soaking in the warm fire and lounging with Kerry

Kohen went to art class to paint Kresee's favorite animal--the penguin

Over the past few weeks, Kresee has been gathering her things and "wrapping them" so I had some things to open on Christmas Day...Too sweet....
Kerry got me a new gun...Something I wasn't expecting...Kinda think it was more of a present for him as well--haha

Ellie loves laying on a pillow by the fire...It's her favorite spot...
Breakfast time after we opened presents...
Old Hunter...He has spent many, many Christmases with us...I thought last year might have been his last one with us but here he is again...He will be 15 in February:)

They said it was going to snow and we sure got a pretty White Christmas...In fact, the roads weren't up for driving so we hung out all day at the house and stayed snowed in...We cancelled our Christmas with Nana and Papa to the following day....The dogs LOVED it of course...These young pups think the snow is the best thing ever...

It was a great day hanging out with just the kids and Kerry...It was also nice since I was still sick and gave me a chance to rest and relax....
