Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving was busy as always....3 stops in 1 day....We hung out all morning which was nice....I went for a 3 mile run as well knowing I wouldn't feel up to it later on that day....Needed to burn off some calories since I knew I would put them right back in me:)
We went to the Maroney's at 12:30 for lunch....I seriously ate only 3 bites b/c I was saving up for my dad's house...Kerry pigged out and the kids ate well....
Then they all played outside since it was such a pretty day....(last year was soooo cold and windy and miserable).....They love riding their scooters outside
Kohen giving me the peace sign....

After the Maroney's lunch, we headed out to my dad and Sallye's house...They were eating at 2:00 and we didn't get there till 3:00...I saved all my hunger for this meal and was ready to eat...Lucky for me, they were just going through the line when we got there so I got to eat with everyone...It was super yummy as always...Kerry managed to squeeze in a little bit more food as well....

Kohen couldn't wait to ride on the 4-wheelers...Grandpa Randy took him around for awhile...Then Sallye got stuck on there for quite some time:)

Kresee wanted to show me the chicken coop b/c she had found something in there....

"see those 2 eggs in there"

Checking out the chickens and ducks.....See that on the ground...They eat chicken and turkey...Weird, weird animals--haha

She saw everyone else riding the 4-wheelers...So her and Daddy took a stroll on the 3-wheeler....

So Sallye rescued this pigeon...They didn't think it would even live....But he obviously did and now will not leave their back porch...Just hangs out...Won't fly off...Isn't that crazy?!?
Sallye bought a bunch of marshmellow guns for the kids...They loved them:)

Kresee LOVED playing washers...She was actually pretty darn good:)

Kerry will be happy I posted this lovely picture of him....
Kresee wanting Daddy to show her the marshmellow gun
Is there a marshmellow in there??

Then dad started a fire in their pit....Sallye went and got sparklers and the kids loved that.....

We then headed out to my Nana and Papa's for dinner....None of really ate anything....We were still pretty full from my dad's....
Kresee and Papa
We had a great Thanksgiving...Although we run around like crazy going to 3 places in 1 day, it's worth it...Getting to see our family and spend time with everyone....

And for my 1st time ever, I got up for Black Friday....Not for any major shopping...Since our computer died....I got up and was at Sam's at 4:30 for their 5:00 opening....I was #96 in line and it was cold, but not too horrible...Got in, headed straight for the computer I needed, paid for it and was home and in bed by 5:30...Not too shabby!!

Sweet Kisses

Hunter was giving Kresee some sweet kisses the other night...She was loving it....

Basketball Begins

Kohen had his 1st basketball practice a few weeks ago....They have their 1st game this Thursday...They are going to be the Bulls...We don't know his # yet...They will get their shirts at the game...He's really wanting #10...We shall see...He's loving it and can't wait to play a game...
His coach played basketball and went to school with Kerry...So Kerry was pumped to see the coach was Maurice (now known as William) and Kohen thought it was cool that he was a Coyote Basketball player....

SLP Thanksgiving Feast

Kresee had her 1st Thanksgiving Feast at SLP last week...I know she was so confused...I kept telling her that we were coming to eat lunch with her but then had to go back to work...I was worried she was going to be super upset when it was time to go...But Mrs. Moran came and said Kresee it's time to go and she went right with her with no problem....
Some pics from my phone:)

Coyote Soccer Season

The Coyotes finished their Soccer season on November 12th....I am so proud of these guys....I was really worried about coaching 8 5&6 year olds, but they were great....And I honestly couldn't have done it without Kerrry's help...Thank goodness he's so involved b/c he made a great assistant coach....
I took a team picture of them and had my friend turn it into this as my gift to them at their last game...Turned out super cute...
Spring Season will be here before you know it....Now onto basketball (and NO I'm not the coach!)

City of Lights

I ran in the City of Lights 5k this weekend. This was my 2nd time to run in it. I actually haven't run in a 5K race since this one last year! I know you don't remember but I got 1st place and didn't know it, so I never got my medal.
It was a warm 80 degrees and windy on Saturday at 4 pm so I was worried about the run. I've not run in warm temps in awhile. Luckily it turned out very pretty. My goal was to beat my previous time of 28:45. It was a new course and actually ended up being 3.19 instead of 3.1.
But I finished in 27:50 (new PR) if I stopped at the 3.1 mark. I placed 3rd in my age and I stayed to get my medal this time!!
Mike got 3rd in his age group as well (and had already run 11 miles that morning!!)

Ashley and I. She did great!!

The next morning I got up way early and ran 7 miles. I didn't want to overdo it. So I really need to get a 10 miler in this weekend to be ready for my half in 2 weeks!!!

Limo Ride

Kohen sold all his tickets for the Ben Franklin Spaghetti Supper raffle prizes...So he was treated to a limo ride and lunch at Mazzio's...There were only around 25 kids that did this last year...And this year was more like 150 kids!!!...They made a lot of $$..I think I remember them saying $16,000 on the dinner and raffle tickets...Crazy....It took 3 days worth of limo rides (2-3 limos each time) to get all the kids their lunch;)
Here are just the KG kiddos....

Kohen and his friend Olivia....
He had a blast....I'm glad he has such a great family that bought all his tickets up so he could go:)

Hunter

Hunter is 13 years 9 months old today. He will be 14 on February 16th. I can't hardly look at him without getting sad. Yesterday I just petted him and cried knowing he's an old man who probably doesn't have a whole lot of time with us. There's nothing wrong with him ( that we know of). But you sure can tell he has a hard time getting up and down. He lays around a lot. And he's pretty hard of hearing. I guess knowing Sage didn't make it to her 14th birthday it's just really bothering me. He's a big dog (husky mix). Big dogs aren't supposed to make it this long. so I'm really trying to treasure him;)

Earthquake

Felt out first earthquake tonight (a little before 11 pm) That was the weirdest thing we've experienced. The house just shook. Kerry was walking around and said it made him feel like he was really dizzy. I was in bed. Man that was crazy!!

Sick Girl

Kresee went to the doctor on Thursday after battling a cold for 4 weeks now. Finally turned into a sinus infection and double ear infection. So I got to hang out with her all afternoon and you wouldn't have even known she was sick.

Halloween 2011

Halloween turned out great this year...The weather was perfect (minus the stupid mosquitos)...I attempted some pictures before we headed to a party while waiting on Daddy to get home from work...

We went to the Barnards/Pitts Halloween party for just a little bit...B/C we had to meet up with the family at 6:15 to start trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.....

We tried to get a group picture of the cousins:)

Then we were off for the evening...

I wasn't sure how Kresee would do since she hates strangers....First stop was the neighbor's house and she followed everyone up to the door....

After that, an adult had to walk up with her....She wouldn't say trick-or-treat...Wouldn't hold out her bag...Basically just stood there and stared:)...No thank you at all...It was the most quiet I've ever seen her!!!....Kohen on the other hand was a wild man running all over the place....We were home by 8:30 and were worn out!!
