Memorial Weekend

We went to PK this weekend for Memorial Weekend.....I had to work on Saturday....So Kohen and Kerry headed down Friday afternoon and Kresee and I joined them Saturday around lunchtime....We had a good group of family and it was fun....This was our first trip this summer....We are really excited that Kresee is big enough now to A)wear sunscreen and be out in the sun and B) get to ride the sea-doo/boat more.....She really had a good time and of course Kohen loves being down there.....

All the cousins waiting to launch the boat....Can you see the carlot behind them....My car, Kerry's car, Shellie's car, Papa's car, Big Papa's car, Krista's car, Kay's car, Jayson's car, Laresa's car!!....It was a freaking car lot for real!!!
Maw and Kohen riding the sea-doo to Sandy Beach....

Kresee and her sun hat:)....

Sitting in the boat with Daddy at Sandy Beach....

Cousin Kenzie passed out cold in the car while loading the boat....
Kenzie and Kresee enjoyed playing in the rocks....
Playing on the blow-up in the living room....
Daddy and Kresee...

Professional Sea-Doo Rider/Driver....
Watching Daddy get everything ready for her first sea-doo ride....She made it a little while and then passed out....Kohen used to do the same thing...We would purposely go out on the sea-doo when it was his nap time so he would go to sleep:)

Since no one ever takes my picture (hint hint Kerry!), I had to take one of Kresee and I myself!

Kresee was too busy chewing on the green life jacket that I couldn't get her to look up....

Kohen had just got through tubing and I missed it...He was getting back in the boat here....
Riding in the Cozy Coupe....
Playing outside....Then my battery died and I didn't get to take anymore pictures:(...But I have a feeling we will be at the lake plenty more this summer!!

The Green Life Jacket

Kerry and I were talking the other day about life jackets because we haven't bought Kresee one...My mom got her one but I haven't tried it on to see if it's going to work or not...Kohen was such a little thing that I had the hardest time getting one that would fit him...So I got an old school life jacket like we used to wear as kids....This was the summer of 2007 and he was only 15 mos old here...So Kresee is that age right now....But Kohen has worn this during the summer of 2008 and 2009 and really can still fit in the darn thing...I'm thinking we might pass it on down to Miss Kresee and get Kohen a new one...We've definitely got our money's worth...Maybe she needs like a pink or purple one instead:)

Isn't he so stinking cute sitting on that big sea-doo....

Summer 2008Summer 2009
And I accidentally uploaded this picture!...What a little fatty Kresee was:)...

Dragonfly Art Class

Last week, I took my first art class at How Great thou Art...It's a women's class and lots of my friends have went before, but I have never had a chance....So I wanted to sign up for a few classes over the summer....The theme was Dragonfly and my friends Ashley and Leslie joined me and we had a great time...I was really impressed with my end result...Kohen can't wait to hang it up!...I can't wait to go again:)

10 Months

I can't believe it's been 10 months since I held this sweet girl...I continue to miss her so much on a constant basis...Some days it's still really hard....Kohen still mentions her and I just lose it....I dont' cry 10 times a day like I used to:)...I just really, really hope that Kohen doesn't forget her....He said that she is still his favorite dog, but she's in heaven now...

Underwear Model

Kresee LOVES Kohen's underwear...She really likes it when she gets out of the shower first and his clean underwear are sitting on the floor for him to put on once he gets out of the shower...I get her all ready for bed and she always picks them up...Either tries to stick them on her head or she wears them on her arm like a bracelet....But the other night while I was blowdrying her, she was trying to put on over her diaper so I helped her out...She wore them for quite awhile...She really enjoyed it...I think she would have left them on while she went to bed....

Bikini Babe

Kerry's sister and I are trying to finish up a yearly calendar we make for his mom for her bday/mother's day....So Kresee didn't have a very recent swimsuit picture since she was such a tiny little thing last summer....I wanted a more updated picture of her so I threw her in her swimsuit this morning to snap a few pictures....She thought the outfit was interesting...Yes, we have a more practical bathing suit too so her belly doesn't burn, but how can you resist a bikini for a little toddler:)

Ft. Worth Zoo

I took off work yesterday to take the kids to the Ft. Worth Zoo with my mom and her husband, Mike....Mike's daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandkids went as well...So we had a good crew and a lot of fun....The kids and I left the house at 7:45 am so we had time to stop and get some donut holes before we met up with everyone....We spent a whole day at the zoo and didn't leave until 4:00....Got home at 7:45 pm and so we were all pretty tired....

I had been promising to take Kohen to the zoo for a couple of months now...He and I had planned to go during Spring Break but he decided to get an ear infection...Then I was going to surprise him one Saturday in April and on that Friday night he decided to get the stomach bug....So when my mom wanted to take him yesterday, Kresee and I decided to tag a long...

Can you believe I've never been to the zoo with my kids!!!...Kohen has only been once...But he was 2 1/2 yrs old then...He went in the Fall of 2008 with Kerry's parents....So I was really excited to go....But last night when I was putting Kohen to bed, he made the comment that he really wanted to go back but Daddy to come as well...So maybe we can head north next time with Daddy to the OKC zoo...

This was one of the first animals we saw (after the monkeys)...They looked like little, super skinny deer...But he just stood up for the longest time hitting his front hooves at the branches...It was so cute:)....
You might not be able to see but this duck's bill is black and yellow...So Kohen named him the Rider Raider duck....We did see a Coyote too and got a picture of him:)

Kangaroos were just lying down on the ground....I guess it was their nap time....The one big one was just sprawled out and Kohen says "Did he get shot?"....That kid only thinks of bad and horrible things...Goofball...There was another animal (I can't remember which one), but he was like "Is that blood all over him?"....No, Kohen it isn't!

He was trying to not smile or look at me...Little stinker!....His hair is caked in sunscreen...Looks like he is super sweaty....Luckily, it was a decent day....The sun wasn't glaring the whole time...And they had lots of shade...Pretty day to go...
I had to end up riding on the horse with Kresee....She was OK at first but then needed me on there with her....I was afraid it wouldn't hold me!

How wide is your wingspan??

Kohen's wing span was the size of a Penegrine Falcon:)

Mica helped Kohen feed the birds so I could take some pictures....

He didn't seem to mind the birds until they started landing on his feeding stick...Then I had to hold it....
On our way back to from the lions/tigers....Grammie was sitting with the 2 baby girls while they napped....So Kohen was done at this point....Did not want to walk anymore:) and so he was far behind...I'm sure some people were wondering who was with this kid!

Standing by the baby elephant statue....Kresee had just woken up from a little nap...So she missed the lions, tigers, and rhinos....
Kohen standing next to the Africa Termite Mounds...Crazy that they are this big...I can't imagine seeing those for real??...Yuck!
Again, we had a great time....Can't wait to do it again!

Moving On Celebration

Kohen had his "Moving On" celebration at his preschool today....Basically it was a little "graduation" from his 3 yr old class....We got to meet up with him at the park and eat a picnic lunch with him...The kids got to play...Then they each got a certificate....And his teacher made all the kids a binder full of pictures and crafts and different things they did throughout the year....It was super special and I'm excited to add to the binder since I kept a lot of things he also did this year....Honestly, I wasn't that sad today....I was more excited for him....I guess knowing that he will still continue to go there this summer and then again in the Fall...Since he has turned 4, he has been waiting to go to the 4 yr old class...So come Monday he will have a new teacher....BUT this time next year I will be a big baby knowing my baby will then be entering Kindergarten!!
