Disaster/Safety Event

I honestly have no idea what it was called or really what we went to...All I know is that I saw something about it on Facebook and it was seriously like 2 streets up from us...So Saturday while Kerry was doing lovely yardwork...Kohen rode his trike while Kresee rode in her stroller and I somehow went back and forth pushing the two...But we made it--again, didn't really know what we were heading to....But we saw the firetruck and ambulance and the smoke house...I thought there was supposed to be a helicopter...Glad I didn't mention that to Kohen beforehand or he would have been disappointed....There might have been one there but since we went the last hour, we might have missed it....

But once I saw who was sitting in the firetruck, I knew Kohen would have a blast....It was Derek Jones---a guy I have known for many, many years.....He didn't even know what they were there for!!...Haha...But he let Kohen get in the firetruck....Showed him all the equipment...Opened up all the compartments to see what all the firetruck held....Kohen was in heaven....

His favorite part was the smokehouse....I had to laugh because I really didn't think he was listening to Derek talk about if there is fire/smoke, you get low and crawl...Or you break out the window, cover it up with something and crawl out...He told Kerry all about it....He ended up doing the smoke house numerous times....Kresee and I went in just once:)

My Favorite Girl

Hanging out on the lawn mower.....She can't wait for Daddy to start mowing so she can take a few rides:)
Then she LOVES shoes...She is constantly trying to wear everyone else's shoes, but will NOT leave hers on her feet...So she dug in my closet and pulled these out...She figured since she couldn't get them on her feet, they work great on her arms...She crawled around in these for quite awhile!!...She does this with my tennis shoes as well...
Then I was just snapping a few of her at lunch this weekend....Her little face just makes me smile...

1st Performance

Kohen had his first on-stage performance last Tuesday at his Preschool's anniversary celebration...It was definitely his first time in front of that many people...His class did the Tooty-Tah (one of his favorite songs)...He did great and wasn't scared at all....He had a good time:)...

Family Party

After we had Kerry's thing on Sunday, we had Kohen's family party on Monday night...Yes, his bday wasn't until Tuesday....But we had a preschool function at his school...So all the great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. came over Monday...I didn't want to make them all come sit at Chuck-E-Cheese with a bunch of wild kiddos....

His new Coyote shirt....

Tonja Denson made his cake for this night....It turned out adorable!...

Some pictures with the kiddos....

Blowing out candles on cake #2...
He got lots of clothes which was awesome!

Kresee enjoyed riding around on his new scooter....

Kony? or Korry?

We didn't celebrate Kerry's 30th birthday with the family until Sunday....We were at his parents for dinner and I told his mom to get him a DQ blizzard ice cream cake....Instead of Happy Birthday Kerry, they thought it looked like Kony...I thought maybe it said Korry...Whatever it says, it sure wasn't Kerry...And since the DQ cake "decorator" wasn't working when his mom picked it up, it couldn't be corrected...She got a whole 10% off...Man, that cake decorator sure can write pretty!! (haha)

4th Birthday Party

More cake balls for Kohen's birthday party...She shaped them into footballs and they turned out sooooo stinking cute!
Of course we had to have a Coyote football birthday cake from Kathy's too.... I have a million pictures but it would be the longest post ever....So I'm just sticking to the 2 kiddos....
Getting crowned by Chuck-E-Cheese himself....
Blowing out the birthday candles...He needed a huge breath will ALL those candles....

The kids closing their eyes waiting for a surprise....
Kresee loved the football cake bites....
Kohen and Chuck-E-Cheese
Kresee giving him a high five....
We had 16 friends come to his party...We had a great time and he loved every second of it...He has been looking forward to this party and turning 4 for months!!!

Daddy's Work

For Kerry's birthday last Friday, Kohen and I decorated his office on the way to school....We made it all morning without Kohen ruining the surprise....We got in the car (I said I had to get to work early to test a kid)....We were loaded....Kerry came out in the garage to say by to the kids one last time...And then Kohen says "Mommy are we still going to put the balloons in Daddy's office?"....So there went the surprise....It was cute though and he still had a blast doing it....I had initially planned to run in and be gone before Kerry got there....But it was nice having him walk in on us and snap a few pictures....

30th....

In honor of my wonderful husband's 30th birthday today, I wanted to give 30 reasons why I love him so much (and yes, there are more than this--but I had to stop at 30!!).....
  1. I have had the privilege of watching him grow from a young boy to a grown man and I love him more each day.
  2. He loves his job and he's good at it and he knows it:).
  3. So that makes him a confident guy and I wish I had some of his confidence.
  4. He is a great provider to me and the kids.
  5. He is dependable and reliable (if you aren't on a time crunch)
  6. Speaking of that, eventhough he has absolutely no concept of time I still love him.
  7. He is a home-body like me. He is perfectly content never going anywhere or doing anything. As long as he has me and the kids, he is a happy man.
  8. He will eat anything I set in front of him---even if it's just a bowl of cereal for dinner.
  9. He is very complimentary of me. Even after all these years, he still says sweet things to me all the time.
  10. He hugs me every morning.
  11. He pats me every night.
  12. He notices everything (which isn't always great) but he is very observant---I can't even get away with a new pair of earrings without him making a comment.
  13. I can give him $20 and it will last him an entire month.
  14. He is a huge animal lover and has such a good heart for them.
  15. He has lots of patience--especially with the kids----I don't, I admire him for this.
  16. He is a great daddy. Those kiddos think the world of him.
  17. He is the doctor in our family. If the kids are sick, he's up for the job. He takes care of them.
  18. He still relies on me to be his spell-checker and he has me proof-read all the time.
  19. He never complains---I mean never! (me, I complain all the time)
  20. So that means because I complain all the time, he is the best listener.
  21. He could be with me every second of every day and honestly not get tired of me (I don't understand that, but it's true!)
  22. He still thinks he still has blonde hair and I love that he thinks that.
  23. He hates talking on the phone, but I love when he calls because I know he really doesn't like to and he's made an effort.
  24. He thinks he is super cool for dating/being married to an "older" woman (even if it's just 4 weeks btwn the two of us).
  25. He loves getting his picture made and doesn't mind when we do family ones (HAHA--yea right...He hates it). But I love that he will still go and complain the whole time, but he does it for me.
  26. He is my best friend.
  27. He is my soul mate.
  28. He is the best handy man in the whole world. This guy can do anything. He surprises me all the time and gets annoyed that I have no confidence in his ability but then I always end up eating my words.
  29. My world would not be the same without him in it. He has given me the 2 most beautiful children and I can't thank him enough for that.
  30. And I really, really love that he is willing to spend his 30th birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese tonight with a bunch of wild kids for his son's 4th birthday party!!

I LOVE YOU KERRY JOHN MARONEY JR!!

Pretty Funny....

My friend Katie sent this to me in an email this morning...I thought some were pretty funny...And I wanted to share a few of my favorite:)

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you are wrong.

3. There is a great need for a sarcasm font.

4. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

5. Was learning cursive really necessary?

6. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5 I am prettysure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

7. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

8. Bad decisions make good stories.

9. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productivefor the rest of the day.

10. "Do not Machine wash" or "Tumble Dry" means I will never wash this- EVER!

11. I hate it when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?)Damn it!!! but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

12. I hate leaving the house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

13. I would rather try and carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each handthan take 2 trips to bring the groceries in.

14. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

15. How many times is it appropriate to say "What" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

16. Shirts get dirty, Underwear get dirty, Pants? Pants never getdirty, and you can wear them forever.

17. Is it just me or do high school kids get dumber and dumber everyyear?

18. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 times and still not knowwhat time it is.

19. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their carkeys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and pinning the tail on thedonkey - but I'd bet my behind everyone can find and push the snoozebutton from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!!!
