Sweet Kiddos:)
My mom comes over on Tuesdays and Kohen loves it because it's the one night a week that he gets to take a bath. Usually he just showers with Kerry because it's way easier on us and the whole bedtime routine. So mom bathed Kohen while I bathed Kresee in the sink. She really enjoys her bath--she remains very calm and content. Her favorite part is when I blow-dry her hair and body. She loves sitting there. She really likes sitting in my lap when I'm drying my own hair. Yes, her cord has still not fallen off. I have really been working on it. I did with Kohen as well and he is still tied at his pediatrician's office with the record of 8 weeks and 1 day. I'm determined to get Kresee's off way before then!!
I just love how tiny they are. It's crazy to see her fit so easily in my sink:)

Drying off both kiddos and putting on their PJ's.
I put Kresee in her swing (it's in the bathroom because I stuck her in it while I showered that afternoon) and Kohen wanted to fish kiss the things as they went by. He did this for probably 3 minutes!! Goofball:)
These are from this morning. She slept sooooo much yesterday. I guess that doctor's visit wore her out. She fell asleep at 4:00 yesterday afternoon. I had to keep waking her up to feed her and she woke up at 10:00 this morning. Again, I woke her up. She stayed awake for a whole hour and was and still is asleep in her swing.

2 Week Appointment
Kresee turns 3 weeks on Thursday but we had her 2 week check-up today. She did great. She fell asleep on the way over there and woke up when she got messed with. She barely cried when they poked her heel and squeezed on her little foot to get the blood that they needed. She weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz (right at 50%) and was 21 1/2 inches long (90%). So I was glad to see she had surpassed her birth weight like she should. And we got all her appointments scheduled through her first year, so that was nice to have those out of the way.
Here is Miss Kresee in one of her sweet onesies. I just love it.
Kerry gets annoyed when I take his picture with our kids. One day he will thank me. I only wish he would actually pick up the camera and maybe snap a picture of me!! Oh well, that's a man for you. This is him laughing at me because he gave me this horribly stupid face the first time (which I should post) and I told him to be halfway serious:)

29th
This picture was taken on Monday which was my 29th birthday. It's crazy knowing it's my last year being in the 20's. Before I know it, I will be the big 3-0!! But in all honesty, it had to be my best birthday yet. I mean how can anything compare to having these 2 sweet and perfect babies in my life. As all young girls do, we dream of who will marry and how many kids we will have and what they will look like, etc. It's weird knowing that I met my husband at the age of 16 and how we have been together for going on 13 years. We got engaged at the age of 19 and married at 20. I remember at our pre-marital counseling one of the things I wanted to accomplish was to have my first baby at 26. I was dead set on that age. I guess I knew I would finish up my master's degree at 24 and I wanted to work a little while. Then my sweet baby boy was born 1 month after my 26th birthday. I always planned on having kiddo #2 at 29 years of age. Well I was just about a week and a half shy of that, but hey it's close enough. My life couldn't be more complete now that we've added Kresee to our family. So all my dreams have become a reality. I have a wonderful husband that I truly adore and now I can say I have the two kids that I've always dreamed of.

2 Weeks!!
Kresee is already 2 weeks old!! I really think the past 2 weeks have gone pretty quickly...I'm sure it will continue to and I will be back at work before I know it....She doesn't go for her 1st doctor's appointment until next Tuesday and she will technically be almost 3 weeks by then...So I will update you on Tuesday.....
I'm in the process of trying to pick out some pictures of her to use for her birth announcements...It's not going so great...We've had 3 little photo sessions and I think today I just might have gotten at least a couple of decent pictures to use...So I think I'm just done with it and am ready to just get them ordered!!
I have yet to really go through my pictures of Kohen as a baby and compare the two of them...I just know that they really look a lot alike as newborns...So it will be interesting to watch Kresee grow and change....Here is Mr. Kohen when he was just 2 days old.....He has that dark hair that was light on the edges, those blonde eyebrows, and blue eyes....

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hope you all have a great day....I had to buy Kresee this little newborn onesie at Kohl's when I saw it 2 months ago and today she finally got to wear it....Kohen's babysitter, Mimi, bought him this hat and of course it was very appropriate for today as well....Kresee got to go on her 1st walk today and it sure is toasty out there....We didn't go very far though because she was in a long-sleeved onesie.....

Friends
Katie brought Jack over today so we could all have lunch together....Kresee knew she had a friend named Jack but today was the first time they got to meet....Kresee of course zonked out and just slumped over on poor Jack while I tried to get a picture...Oh well, I have a feeling we will have plenty more photo opportunities:)
Look Mommy, It's a Lizard!
We were at Maw and Papa's house yesterday (Kerry's parents). Kohen, Kerry and Maw were out in the backyard watching Maw clean out the pool. I was inside laying in the living room floor with Kresee. Before I knew it:
Kohen: "Look Mommy, it's a lizard" (and he is holding this thing in the palm of his hand)
Me: "Oh, it really is a lizard"
Kohen: "It's not dead---he's alive."
Me: "Really, are you sure about that?"
Kohen: "Yep, he's alive. He just got too much water" (he found the lizard in the pool)
Me: "Oh, he drank too much water"
Kohen: "Yep, he did. Do you want to pet him Mommy? He's a really nice lizard"
Me: "Well I don't really want to sweetie, but you do know he is dead?"
Kohen: "Yep, he's dead. He drank too much water."
Hanging out with Daddy. Kerry's favorite thing is for his little babies to snuggle up on his chest. It's the one thing that I know he looks forward to every night. He will shower and get ready for bed. Wait for me to feed her. Then I hand her off to him for some daddy-daughter bonding time. I need to get a picture of that. This was just from yesterday afternoon. Kerry loves getting his picture made as you can tell!!
Our friends brought us dinner the other night and of course Kohen loved playing with his friend, Cameron. They were so wild and loud, but they had a great time. And Cameron got to hold Kresee and I couldn't believe Kohen sat there as well for a picture. It didn't last long before Kresee wasn't to hip on the idea of 3 year olds holding her:)

Kresee Newborn Pictures
DeEdra took Kresee's pictures this morning....I was a little worried at first since she really didn't want to go to sleep for us and kept laying there with her eyes open....Thankfully, DeEdra was very patient and Kresee finally decided to take a nap.....Look at a few of the pics on her blog.....I think they are all going to be just precious:)

One Week
Kresee is one week old today. It's been such an amazing week with this sweet new baby girl in our house. I swear I get teary-eyed every time I gaze into her precious face when we snuggle together in bed. I just can't believe she is already here and that I have two gorgeous kiddos of my own. I feel so blessed and happy.
We had her one-week well baby check up this morning at the hospital. She did great. She is weighing in at 6 lbs 15 oz (10 ozs less than her birth weight). She passed all her little reflex tests and her jaundice level was very low which was great. I was really wanting to just know her weight and make sure she wasn't jaundiced. I didn't think she was--we have been sunning every day and I thought she looked good. We did get in trouble for letting her sleep so long at night. Last night, I fed her at 8:45 and put her to bed at 9:30 and she didn't wake up until 6:30 this morning. Believe me, she stirred a little bit around 1:30 and I tried to go ahead and feed her but she was too busy still sleeping. Oh well, I think she eats just great all day long and I'm not too worried about going more than 4 hrs between a feeding. We go to her first appointment on Tuesday with her pediatrician. She will be 2 days shy of 2 weeks at that point. Hopefully, she will gain a few ounces between today and Tuesday.

Delivery Story
I hope to get some more pictures posted of Kresee....She is such a sweet and easy going baby so far....Sleeps a lot which is something we aren't used to...Even as a newborn, Kohen was up all day long but slept great at night...She sleeps a lot during the day and has managed to still make 6-7 hr stretches at night which is great....Once we get this feeding thing down, I know it will go much smoother...Sometimes it takes a good hour to feed her but she is learning and is doing well....
She just looks so much like Kohen....I will have to post some side by side pictures to let you see how much they do look alike as newborns....
I'm doing well too...I can't believe she will be a week old tomorrow...This time last week, I was at work trying to tie up all the lose ends knowing I was going to be having a baby the next day....And know she lays here in my lap as I type this (sound asleep of course!)
But her birthday was awesome....I was worried because I had such an easy delivery with Kohen that I might not be that lucky again...I was also induced with Kohen and from start to finish he was here within 8 hours....She was here in 6 1/2....
We got to the hospital at 7:30....By the time we got all situated and admitted and ready it was 8:30 before they hooked up my IV and started the pitocin.....At that point I was 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced....At 9:20, Dr. Lamar came and broke my water...He said I could go ahead and have an epidural b/c I was 3 cm but I figured I would wait awhile since I wasn't in any pain...At 11:30 when I had been having some lovely painful contractions for about 30 minutes, I did get that epidural....I was then 4 cm and 75% effaced....So after that it was fairly boring...Kerry and I just sat there and watched TV...I was starving the entire time and it didn't help him eating McDonald's in front of me....At 1:50, I was checked again...I was then 5 cm and 90%....Not 30 minutes later, I was feeling a lot of pressure with each contraction...So at 2:30 the nurse checked and I was already 10 cm and ready to go....They called the doctor, he came right over, 3 pushes later Kresee was born at 3:01 pm....So it happened really quickly that last hour....
We were so glad to only have to spend the night one night...It was nice getting home on Friday afternoon especially when you have another kiddo at home waiting for you....Ok, lunch time for me.....
