Bulls Basketball Game #1

The Bulls had their 1st basketball game last Thursday night on December 1st....Kohen was pumped and very excited...Kerry and I were always pretty excited just to see how he would do...He practices well and is aggressive with us, but in soccer sometimes he just sits back and doesn't really "get in there and get after it"....So we really thought he would do the same at basketball??
He wanted to be #10, but the YMCA picks the numbers and they are weird...Like 1,2,3,4,5 and then 11, 12, 13, etc...So there was no #10, so he got #1 instead....He was pretty happy about that.....

Practicing before the game---dribbling with Coach William
Shooting some pre-game hoops....

Doing some side shuffles to warm up....

Lining up to say the YMCA pledge and get their wristbands....Kohen wore a white wristband...Meaning he had to mark the other teams guy with the white wristband...The hard part was that you could only steal the ball away from that person...Kohen couldn't take the ball away from someone in red or green??...I didn't really like that rule, but oh well...

Kohen didn't play the 1st quarter....But was doing so well that he played the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters....We were so stinking proud of him...He wanted to play...He wanted to be out there...He wanted that ball and he wanted to score!!

Here he is waiting to get the ball passed inbounds to him....

Kohen dribbling the ball down the court....That's me in the back on the right corner...I was one of the official scorekeepers--haha...The score was 0-0 at half...Before the game, one of the parents and I joked the game would probably be 6-4...We weren't that far off b/c they tied 4-4!!!

The most exciting part was during the 3rd quarter, Kohen had the ball and scored the 1st basket of the entire game making it 2-0...He was sooooo proud of himself and the boys went crazy...You would have thought they just won a national championship--haha.....

Kohen in there getting after it...We were so proud of his aggressiveness and not being timid...He really wanted that ball:)

They tied it up 2-2 not long after Kohen scored....Then Sam scored another basket for us, but again they score as well...It was super fun to watch...I had no voice (like usual) because I yell and scream so much!!...Kohen was just ecstatic and I can't wait for the rest of the games......

So the next game is tomorrow morning at 8:30 am...We basically have every Saturday morning at 8:30...Gonna be rough getting up that early on our days off....It will work out for me tomorrow b/c I have the YMCA Holiday Hustle 5K at 9:00...So I will get to watch about 30 mins of Kohen's game, then go outside to run and we should be finished around the same time
