Prayers for Sketch

As you all know, I'm a huge animal lover....It breaks my heart to hear of something bad happening to any animal, especially a dog, and I don't even have to know the dog.....But today something awful happened to my mom's dog....Sketch has to be the most sweetest, loving, best dog in the world...And I even mean that compared to my precious Biskit.....My sister rescued him from the pound a few years ago knowing no one would take this big, black mean looking pitbull....She knew he would be euthanized....She had him neutered and had him boarded so that he may eventually be adopted...But he developed an infection from the neutering....I will never forget the day I had to go and get him...My sister called and said I needed to pick him up and take him to my mom's house...She was going to foster him until the infection cleared up....I was terrified of him...He looked vicious....I had not been around pitbulls....But he went to stay with my mom to heal and get better and he never left....That was several years ago....And we are all so very lucky and thankful to have him in our lives....He is a GREAT dog!!....But today he was shot in the face...He is still heavily sedated right now at the vet's where he will spend the next few days....He is going to live, but my heart is breaking....The bullet went underneath his eye and threw his skull and nasal cavity...We don't know how but it missed his brain tissue and spinal cord...It came out through his shoulder.....He looks like he had a stroke...His side of his face and eye is droopy...They aren't sure if he will be able to blink it...He might have breathing problems b/c of the damage to his sinus area....And he can't eat right now b/c everything is so swollen...He lost a lot of blood and when he breathes he gurgles like he is drowning in his blood....Oh, how I pray his esophagus is not damaged....I pray that he is really OK and lives a good life....I'm just so sad and upset and mad at this whole situation...This wonderful dog is in a lot of pain and he needs all the prayers he can get....So say a prayer for Sketch.....Say a prayer for my mom......
