This has to be one of the favorite days each year if you are a mother...Getting to celebrate the life you made and being appreciated for everything you do as a mom/wife....Being a mom is crazy hard work...I really, really suck at it most days....I feel like a failure or feel like I failed at something most every single day...But you just keep going and keep trying to do your best....These 2 things make it worthwhile though (even when they--mainly Kohen--drive me bonkers...haha)
I make cinnamon rolls every single Sunday....Been doing this for quite some time...It's the kids and Kerry's favorite morning of the week...However, I don't eat cinnamon rolls...So I usually just make the coffee and may or may not eat breakfast...But this Mother's Day was great b/c that meant I didn't have to make the cinnamon rolls I was not going to eat nor did I make the coffee....I did get up and fix myself some eggs:)
Kohen wanted a lovely picture of me just waking up...Then he wanted to take one of me and Kresee together....
We ate breakfast, got up and ready for church....OneLife had a professional photographer there taking Mommy and Kid pictures..So I was excited to have my picture taken with them knowing I probably wouldn't get a photograph of us otherwise...
After church we went to Kerry's parents house...They ate some sandwiches...Then we played outside a little bit...Then went to Luby's with Kerry's grandparents...We just watched them eat since it was like 2:30 pm:)...
After that, I took Kerry and Kohen back to the Maroney's....But me and my sweet girl went home b/c she was really needing a little nap...I love laying beside her...She feel asleep snuggled up against me and on my hand!..So I didn't move for like 1.5 hours...Worth it though....
We headed out to my grandparents about 5:00....They live off of Highway 79 and there was this little turtle trying to cross the road...Kerry is a big ole animal lover as well and told me I should turn around so he could at least get it to the side of the road....So we did that and just decided to take him with us...We played with him...The kids thought he was great...And he was a fast little thing!!!
We put him in a box and my sister took him home to her pond since some ducks and another turtle live out there
**our turtle and her turtle are very good friends and hang out together...so I'm glad we re-homed him:)
And I still haven't posted any of these pictures that DeEdra took of our family...I need to do that...But how special is this 4 generation picture...Love looking at this one on Mother's Day!!
I feel very blessed to have a great Nana....And I can't even begin to say thank you enough to my mom...What an amazing one she is....Love you both!!!
