Yesterday my sweet little guy graduated KG....This has been a hard one for me....Having a 1st grader sounds so big!!...I know he had a wonderful year....Mrs. Evans was a great teacher and he really loved having her....I know he doesn't want to move on up...But I do know he will love 1st grade just as much...He is a great little student...So proud of all his little accomplishments this year...Learning how to read has to be on the top of the list...We worked on sight words nightly and I loved seeing it all come together as he reads stories...And the best part is that he really enjoys reading and really wants to get better...He is pretty stinking good at math---addition and subtraction...I can thank his Daddy for that:)....He can count by 5's, 10's, and we are still working on by 2's...He can tell time to the hour and half hour...He was one of three KG kiddos that made GT this year...Something he doesn't even know about since it's not too important really at this age...I know he has learned a whole lot this year and I am grateful knowing he is very prepared for 1st grade (maybe not 1st grade spelling tests--haha--something we need to probably start practicing this summer!!)
Kresee had to go to work with me since she was already out of school...It worked out because Kohen's graduation was at 9:00 and then they got to be done for the day too....We got up early and went and got donuts to eat in my room...He went on to class at 8:00 to get ready...
Then it was time for the big graduation...They had a slide show playing of different pictures throughout the year...
Walking up on stage...I knew he would be embarrassed, but he told me he was on the very front row so he couldn't hide behind anyone:)
I got him to really only look out at us one time...The rest of the time he was turned to the side!!
Class of 2024...That sounds so weird and so far away, but I know it won't be....
The teachers went through each kid and told what they wanted to be when they grew up...There were a lot of interesting things---spy was a favorite...They must have heard each other...
But I have to admit that Kohen was the only one out of all 44 KG kiddos that said he wanted to be a wrestler when he grew up...We have grandpa Randy and Sallye to thank for getting him to love the WWE wrestling--haha...
He was the very first one to get his diploma and I almost missed it...I didn't have my camera ready...
Afterwards, they lined up on the cafeteria floor and did a big celebration dance:)
Goodness---he's so precious!
His best bud--Sam
Kohen and Bella...Maybe one day we can look back on all these pictures of them together!
Kohen and Mrs. Evans
Kohen and Mr. Bell, the principal....
Kohen we are so very proud of you....Can't wait to see all the great things you do!
