4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at PK like we do every year....It's always crowded, but fun...We got there Friday and didn't do much but unpack and let the kids play...I made 3 desserts that I wanted to get finished and put away in the fridge for Saturday.....

We headed out to Hell's Gate on Saturday to join the big 'ole party with all the kiddos (7 of them!)...They had a great time swimming around...We brought the huge island float that kept them busy and entertained.... The Berry's came over in their boat and joined us....Best Bud Reid:)

Kresee showing off her figure---haha....This swimsuit has lasted 3 July 4th's...We got this 12 mos swimsuit when she was just 4 mos old....And she wore it last summer and then this year...But I seriously doubt it fits next year when she's 3!!...

The boys LOVED playing with their goggles...They would hang off the float and put only their face in the water to watch or see any fish....

Funny story about Kresee was that I tried to explain to her several times that there would be no potty and you just have to pee in the lake...So she really needed to go and Kerry put her in the water for a little bit...He got her back out and she started crying saying she really needed to go pee...Obviously she was desperate and just stood there and squated a little and peed all in the boat...Jayson got some water and just poured it on it to help water it down...Poor thing...

It's hard getting pictures of Kohen at the Lake....Kohen and Jaxson are always on some adventure and I feel like I just see glimpses of him every once in awhile...The only time we even seem to talk is during meals:)

Sunday we did absolutely nothing....I don't think Kresee even got out of her PJ's...To be honest, all us adults got up early and did not move from the TV the entire day...We were all too consumed with the closing arguments of the Casey Anthony Trial....I had not watched 1 minute of it until this past weekend.....

Then he got tired and fell off....

That's when the rope decided to get tangled up in the sea-doo....They were stranded and Jayson was on the other sea-doo and no where to be found....So Kerry, Shellie, and I decided to jump in and swim out there to them to push the sea-doo back in....It wasn't close and swimming sucks!...We were tired....Shellie and I got about 3/4 of the way there and a boat stopped and helped them, so we swam on back....

It was definitely a different 4th of July with no fireworks...I've never in my life known a 4th without fireworks....Today marks 35 out of the last 36 days that we've been 100 plus degrees...We are on track to have the hottest summer on record...It's crazy...So fireworks were illegal this year and I was happy about that...Besides the kids still got to watch the fireworks at Hell's Gate and it didn't seem any different to them...
