Messy Fun

Today we had Jude and Ezra come over fairly early before it reached 105 degrees to play with some shaving cream, paint and water...They had a lot of fun, but it got pretty warm fast...So then we headed over to Maw and Papa's to jump in their pool to cool off and eat some lunch...

Playing with "clean mud"...grated ivory soap, warm water and toilet paper...feels great
Ooblick--which is flour and baby oil...makes your hands soft:)
This was the first day I actually enjoyed the water...I was so hot, it finally felt nice...Not too cold!
Kohen showing me he learned how to float...He did really well....
We love playdates with our different friends...Keeps us busy all summer!

Father's Day

We got to celebrate Kerry on Sunday for Father's Day...It wasn't any different than our typical Sunday morning...Kerry LOVES Sunday b/c that means I make cinnamon rolls and coffee and he eats in bed with Kresee:)...Here they are giving Kerry some hugs!...We got ready and headed off to church, then over to the Maroney's for lunch....
Kresee brought her nail polish...She LOVES painting daddy's nails...He lets her just about every time she asks...What a nice Daddy!
Then the kiddos did their usual Sunday swimming...
Jaxson brought over worms they had used to go fishing...I knew Kresee would be ecstatic about those worms...
They were really big...She loved it...
 Kohen didn't mind them either

It was a nice day...Kerry is such a wonderful daddy and I know the kids think the world of him:)

1ST Ranger Game

We took Kohen to his 1st Ranger game on Friday night with several of his tball teammates....The game was at 7pm and was super hot till about 8:15 when the sun wasn't beaming down on us!...He was pretty excited about it and I'm glad he had fun and the Rangers won on his first trip there...

There was a firework show afterwards that we stayed and watched...It was a really good one...They sure spend a lot of $$ on fireworks...So we didn't get home till 1 in the morning which was super fun:)...But we did sleep in some on Saturday and took a big nap as well that afternoon....

12 Year Anniversary

Kerry and I went last weekend to the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine to celebrate our 12 year anniversary...We wanted to do something easy and relaxing, but still be close enough to home...So this was the perfect getaway...I don't think Kerry was too excited initially but really enjoyed himself...He wanted to go back this weekend--haha!!...And he mentioned doing this yearly for sure...I have to agree b/c we had a wonderful time together...
We headed down Saturday around lunch after we dropped the kids off at my mom's house...We arrived and checked in and headed straight to the pool where we sat at the bar and have a few drinks...The pool was packed so we only got in a little and it was freezing!!...I didn't even make it off the steps:)

We went back to the room and changed for dinner...We ate at the mexican restaurant...Super good...Then went back to the pool bar to have a drink and watch the basketball game...Then headed of the Texan Station to watch more basketball...Kerry was never not hungry the entire time and he ordered more food!...Needless to say we were stuffed when we went to bed that night...

The next morning we got up and had breakfast in our room...Got ready for the waterpark and headed over there before lunch...Kerry rented us a little cabana area which was nice and comfy...We had our own waitress that we just buzzed when we needed her...She brought us all our drinks and food...Man, even the pool food was great...We ate so much all weekend!!
We laid around all day...We did get in the water off and on...
But it was just nice hanging out!!
Kerry floating the river while I got more drinks:)
We had our anniversary dinner reservations at the Old Hickory Steakhouse at 6:00...So we got ready and headed to dinner....Puss N Boots greeted us as we took an elevator...The kids got a kick out of this pic when I texted it to them:)
I'm not a steak eater, so I got an ahi tuna appetizer and a caesar salad....
Kerry had been looking forward to eating lamb for days now, so he was super pumped...And he said it was excellent...We also shared a big thing of asparagus and ate it all!!
Our waiter surprised us with a very yummy chocolate dessert....
We walked around to work some of the food off--haha!
Yes, Kerry took a stupid picture of me....
Then we headed back over to the Mexican restaurant later for a drink and their to die for sopapillas...We had been thinking about them ever since dinner the night before!
Seriously, we did not want to go home on Monday after we finished breakfast...But we managed to get on the road and take a nice nap in our own bed before we picked up the kiddos from school...Can't wait to go back for sure...Happy 12th Anniversary to Us!!

1st Dance Recital

Kresee had her 1st dance recital last Friday on June 8th....It was so stinking cute...She loved every minute of it...I was worried when I signed her up for dance back in August that she wouldn't like it and definitely not get up on stage in front of hundreds to perform...But she surprised us all year long...That little shy girl really loves being up there dancing for everyone:)

Thursday was the miserable day...We had dance recital practice...After waiting 2 1/2 hours, her group finally was able to get on stage to practice their little songs....Luckily, we had Ashley and Ezra to hang out with...The girls did great...Kresee would not let me take her picture though!

Ashley brought lots of supplies so it gave the girls something to do while we waited and waited and waited....

You can't video or take pictures during the real performance....So I snapped a few of her on stage practicing!

Her recital was at 5:00...So she and I got there around 4...I didn't know what to expect with parking and getting a seat...So it worked out fine...Grammie and Kresee before the big show....
Me and my sweet girl before I took her backstage with her class....
After the show was complete chaos...so many mommies going to the same spots through one staircase to get their children...But I managed to find her...She was very, very proud of the flowers that she got...
She did amazing up there and I loved watching her...I'm not sure what she will pick for the Fall..She seems to really want to try gymnastics...So we might skip dance this year and give gymnastics a go....
