Christmas #5

We were scheduled to have Christmas #5 at Kerry's Meme and Papa's house Christmas Eve afternoon...But since several family members live in the Dallas area and we of course couldn't even make it out of the Maroney's driveway, it got cancelled until Saturday afternoon.....

Christmas #4

Christmas #4 was surely eventful....Especially since we woke up to the snow falling down....I told Kohen and he immediately wanted to see it...Here he is sitting on our windowsill looking in our backyard...We assured him that it wouldn't last long nor would there be enough for him to make a snowman since that was what he kept asking to do....Little did we know!!!

We went over to Maw and Papa's house like we do every Christmas Eve morning to open gifts with them and Kerry's sister's family....Kohen had to get a play in the driveway for a second before getting in the car....

This is our 3rd year to have Santa (aka--my uncle) come and visit the boys....They get so excited knowing Santa comes and sees them in the morning knowing he will be by to leave them presents that night....My uncle was always our Santa when my sister and I were little girls...My parents would wake us up (which I hope to do with Kohen in a few years) and we would secretly watch Santa set out our gifts...It was honestly the best thing ever!!...My uncle has played Santa and still does and loves it...He had several stops to make Christmas Eve morning and we were glad that he can come to the Maroney's every year.....

Kenzie did NOT want to be near Santa...Kresee was fine but Kenzie continued to bawl and so Kresee thought that maybe she should be a little afraid...She didn't cry, but sure pouted those little lips...

And then she continued to not like him when we moved Kenzie and put Kohen up there:)

The boys, however, loved him and sat on his lap for a long time....

Then we decided to sit the girls on the floor and Kenzie still didn't want to be near him....

Kresee wound up with Sleeping Beauty DVD, a necklace, and lots of clothes.....

Kohen got the G-Force DVD, a puzzle and a FatHead of Adrian Peterson!!....Kerry of course loves it!!.....

But we ate breakfast at 9:30, visited with Santa, and then opened gifts....We go over there in our PJ's....I brought Kresee's 10:30 bottle and some food for breakfast and that was it....Around noon we thought we would run home to get a few things while the kids played....Shellie and Jayson thought they would do the same....We had no idea how bad it was outside....Kerry and I tried to get our car out of the driveway for awhile...Then Jayson came out and shoveled around it...Then Kerry's dad came to help as well.....Then ours was permanently stuck on the curb of the driveway blocking Shellie's car.....

So after about an hour or so, I decided to go back inside the house:)....They tried to move Shellie's car and got it stuck as well....I'm now not having fun...It's 1:30 and I haven't pumped and Kresee had no food...Fortunately, she eats table scraps well and I was able to nurse her at 2:30 instead of doing a bottle since I had no milk to put in a bottle....We laughed as the boys came inside needing some heavier duty clothes since Kerry was still in his PJ's....Jayson wore this hot number (Kerry's dad's ski pants from obviously years ago b/c they were tiny and barely fit little Jayson).....

Kerry had some on but later added way more since it was 25 degrees and the wind and snow was blowing like crazy...He did fall and bust his bootie...Really thought he broke his elbow...It is still very sore 2 days later.....

Kerry's dad had the bright orange ski mask that was pretty funny and then whatever else he could get on.....

Kerry realizes that maybe if he got his car (4 wheel drive) that he could pull our cars out into the street....So his dad and him WALK to our house....Our house was much worse and he had to jump the fence since the snow drifts were so high on our front door and the garage...They had to shovel our driveway and pour sand...Luckily they got it out....

In the meantime, a friend of Jayson came over in his big truck and yanked my car out of the driveway...They thought if we could get my car out of the cul-de-sac that we could get it going....It got stuck 3 more times and they ended up parking it for good 5 hrs later....And its still there (26th) since it's not moving.....They also pulled Shellie's car out as well....So now we had this guy's truck, Kerry's car, my car, and Shellie's car all in the cul-de-sac along with 2 other cars sitting there.....

Basically we got home at 6:30 that night and I've never been more happy to be home!!!!!

But Kohen did in the midst of all that, since the boys had no idea what was going on, got to play in the snow for a few minutes...We didn't have snow clothes attire and his little feet and hands were freezing within 5 or 10 minutes......

This was our house from the garage before we left that morning......

Christmas #3

Our 3rd Christmas was on Wednesday night at my mom's house....She made a yummy dinner....It was our family, Mom, Sketch, my sister Leslie and her husband, Paul...

Sketch....Who we are all so very thankful that he is with us this Christmas...He is doing well....His right eye stays fully dilated as you can tell---he has permanent nerve damage on that side and his retina has holes in that eye...But he is able to see, but probably not focus and I'm sure it is blurry....His left eye is still a bit saggy but he can see out of it and they said it might get better in the coming months.....

Kohen got a batman hotwheels that he was excited about...And he had the shirt to match that night which I didn't plan at all...He got an OU shirt and football shirt....And a remote control Geotrax airplane....

Kresee got a walker that also has lots of activities on it.....

She also got a little car that Kohen of course had to try out as well...

Kresee had a great time with Sketch....He would give her kisses and lick her hand....She loved it:)....

The kids came home and had a total blast playing with this huge plastic Christmas bag....Kresee thought it was the most fun being pulled all over our bedroom....If she got knocked off, she would crawl as fast as she could and just flop on her back to get back on...It was pretty hilarious....

Mine, Please!

I have to laugh because Kresee really, really wants to play with all of Kohen's toys....He was such an angel this morning and let her play with his football helmets while he played with his hockey guys..."Oh broder, Teesee Leigh is twi-ing to play with my football helmets"...He sits in the corner of our room on the tile and puts up a barricade trying to keep Kresee out of his things....So we had a talk about how much he plays with her toys as well and as much as he enjoys her toys and all her new presents, all of his stuff is just as exciting to her....Here is a great example of her just wanting to play with her piggy bank but of course he has it and is playing Spider-Man with it....But she can keep up and pull-up to whereever he is, so she thinks she is getting to play with it all too:)

**And this is how Kohen looks at all times at our house...No matter how cold it is, he is only in his boxer briefs....We get home and he immediately strips down...I have made a new rule where he has to ask me to undress because he would strip down everywhere and I couldn't locate socks or shoes....He would probably go completely naked if I let him:)

Christmas #2

We had Christmas #2 yesterday afternoon at Kerry's aunt and uncle house with his mom's side of the family....We had a yummy lunch of turkey and dressing and lots of other stuff to go with it....

Kresee made a new friend yesterday....I had this stuffed puppy in the floorboard of our car...It had been there for awhile...I think I tried to use it before to give her something to look at and play with in the car awhile back...But yesterday, it was like the best thing ever..She held onto it and chewed on it and napped with it....Here she is holding it while Daddy held her....

Kohen has been wanting this double light saber for quite some time...So he was excited to get one....He also got a football shirt, hockey players, and the Big XII football helmets...

Kresee got lots of clothes and a phone that says the numbers, abc's, and music...And she got a book that says numbers on it as well...I had alterior motives knowing Kohen would also love the phone and the book and he might accidentally learn something:) since he refuses to sit with me to learn anything...

That evening we took the kids to the Fantasy of Lights since it wasn't too cold outside...The girls slept the entire time, but the boys enjoyed themselves....I had my camera on the wrong setting....Kohen didn't want his picture made anyways and turned his head...I was just trying to get the 3 Little Pigs since it his favorite at the Fantasy of Lights....

Kohen sitting on Daddy's shoulders at the very end...He was ready to leave because it was 6:45 and he was "tarving"....We thought we would hurry and see the lights, then run home and eat dinner....

Christmas # 3 will be this Wednesday at Grammie's house (my mom)....

Christmas #1

We had Christmas #1 Friday night at my sister's house with my Dad and his girlfriend....I made chicken spaghetti and a caesar salad and my sister made lasagna and some pasta shells....It was very good....Kresee got her a chair to match Kohen's...So we now have them both sitting at the end of our bed...We are trying to teach her to flip on her belly and slide off our bed onto the chair since she has recently thought it to be hilarious to see how fast she can bail off our bed face first....It doesn't scare her and she has yet to fall...Kerry and I have been there to catch her....I did let her fall the other day and was sitting there to catch her in hopes that it might scare her...She did a complete flip and would have landed smack on her back, but she just laughed!!

Because I wanted to keep Kohen's green chair in our room, we got him a big boy chair for his bedroom...It matches his room and looks great...We rearranged his furniture so that we could accomodate the chair and set up a TV for him to possibly watch DVDs or play on his little computer thing that he is getting for Christmas....
