Aquarium and Legoland

We spent the night after Medieval times and got up the next morning to head to Grapevine Mills Mall...We wanted to get to the aquarium there right when they opened...The kids had a lot of fun and

we stayed there all morning until lunch time....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 We ate some yummy Sbarro's pizza before getting in line to go into Legoland...Luckily, the wait was only about 30 minutes....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Kohen could have stayed there all day building little lego cars and racing them over and over...He thought it was the greatest thing ever....But we wanted to let them do these big water balls in the mall before we ate dinner...Kohen loved it...Kresee did OK but seemed a little scared but managed to make it the whole 5 minutes:)

 

 Rain Forest Cafe was our dinner stop....I was super exhausted and so some good dinner and then off to the hotel and bed sounded perfect to me....

Medieval Times

Since this week is Spring Break, Grammie and I took the kids to Dallas for a few days...We left on Monday afternoon so we could make our first stop at Medieval Times late afternoon....I've never ever been and I thought Kohen would really enjoy it...They both ended up having a great time...Kohen loved all the knights...Kresee's day was made when our knight threw her a flower...He had come over 2 times to throw some flowers but she's so little he never saw her...So the 3rd and final time, I stood her up on my knees and she waved her arms...She didn't care about anything else the rest of the show except for her flower...It was pretty cute:)

 

Glow Run

Tonight after soccer practice, I headed over to MSU to run the Glow Run...It started about 7:15 in the dark and everyone work glow bracelets and necklaces...The route was covered in glow sticks...It was pretty neat...I got a horrible side stitch starting about mile 2 and really hurt me the rest of the way...I was not happy when I reached mile 3 and realized we were not close to the finish line and would be going way over 3.1 miles...But I managed to hang on to almost 3.5 miles in pain and finished with a 9:18/mile pace which is pretty fast for me....My last fun run until Rock N Roll on March 24th!...

Riverbend Field Trip

Yesterday (Kresee's bday) I got to spend the entire day with 88--1st graders at Riverbend for their field trip...To say I was worn out by the time we got back at 2:00 pm is an understatement...I didn't sleep well the night before and I was exhausted...It was a cold and windy day but luckily a lot of the day was spend indoors thank goodness...I had a group of 11 kids and they were all very good and they had a great time....Riverbend puts on a neat little field trip;)

4th Birthday

Today Kresee turned 4 years old....We saved two gifts from Sunday so she would have something to open on her birthday....She got a tinkerbell doll and another horse...I'm telling you she is in love with horses right now...We got up early so we would have time for a birthday breakfast at Whataburger...Then she headed off to school...I bought some mini cupcakes for her friends to celebrate with her...I think her favorite thing was me individually wrapping all her lunch items in her lunch box...She thought that was great...We finished off her day by going to Johnny Carinos since she picked it weeks ago for her birthday dinner...She is such an easy girl to love and celebrate...I really continue to be amazed at how fast time flies by and how quickly they grow...I told her no more birthdays and she thought that was pretty funny..."Can you even do that mommy?"....No, sweetie I sure can't keep you 4 forever:)....Now that she is 4 she thinks she should be moving up to her next class at school...Can't really explain that one too well quite yet...Then she said when I'm 4 you said I can play soccer....Again, trying to explain that she has to wait till fall....She tells me she loves me several times everyday..."Mommy I love you so much" or her favorite is thinking of places..."Mommy I love you all the way to heaven" or "Mommy I love you all the way to gymnastics"...She is such a smart little cookie...Learning her letter sounds now and can count to 50...Her and daddy work on that all the time..We dont' go see Dr. Yap for her 4 year check up until the 15th so I'm hoping she has hit the 30 lb mark!!...

4th Birthday parties

Yesterday we celebrated Kresee's upcoming 4th birthday at Jump for Joy with her friend followed by her family coming over for cake and ice cream that evening...
She couldn't wait till lunchtime yesterday when we go to go to United to pick up her horse cupcake cake (did NOT look anything like the picture I gave them but oh well!)...Then holding her off until the party was fun...No it's not time...Just a little bit longer...
We had all her friends bring dog food for PETS pantry or donations for PETS...She received $70 and several dog food bags that TT was very excited about...I love that she doesn't mind doing this and I sure hope I'm teaching her something by not always thinking birthdays are about gifts and getting more things that we don't need...And since we love animals I know both her and Kohen enjoy doing this...He asks all the time when can we go buy more stuff to take to the Humane Society...

Afterwards she and I went home and hung out while Kerry and Kohen went to Maw and Papa's house...We played and then had a little girl dinner at McAlister's before heading back home since the family were all coming over at 6:30...And now she was excited about getting a few presents...I love all the new clothes since we need some summer stuff...But she got a barbie unicorn and a set of horses with a Dora doll, a nabi (little kid type ipad), flip flops, a car that you ride down a track, etc....Her horse cake turned out cute and my sister made some yummy flower cookies that I ate way too many of....

Color me Running

Today I ran in the Christ Academy "Color me Running" 5K...We had a large group of girls and we all made some crazy tutus to run in...I'm definitely not a tutu girl nor have I ever run in one, but I did it and it was fun...We took it nice and easy and had a good time...They had a great turnout...It was pretty cold that morning but the weather was great by the time we started around 9:30...I hurt my ankle stepping in a hole so I hope it gets better quickly since I'm going to attempt 1/2 marathon #6 at the end of the month....
