Christmas #2

We had our 2nd Christmas this evening with my mom/Mike and my sister/Paul....They came over a little earlier than usual around 4:30 so the kids could go on a little search for their big present Aunt TT and Paul gave them...It started with a string at our study doors and went ALL over the place
Outside and back inside and all around the house and through the rooms....
It finally ended up behind our fence in the land we have behind our house....Kohen was so excited about this trampoline...We had it put up a few weeks ago and he has been wanting to go and jump on the neighbor's new trampoline but I told him you just can't go jump on other people's stuff...He let it go and I just went along with his story...He was so annoyed at me and said I basically lied to him--haha...
TT got on with them and it didn't last long...Kresee did not like an adult bouncing her around and told her to get off:)

We then had our annual Olive Garden take out and opened presents afterwards....

 Grammie with her grandkids
Sweet Sugar enjoying her 1st Christmas with us...
Aunt TT and Paul with the kiddos...
I hung on long enough to do dinner and open presents...I was in bed pretty quickly after everyone left...This being sick for Christmas isn't much fun...

Nativity Play

Kresee has been patiently waiting for 2 weeks now for her school Christmas play...She has been so excited to be Mary and talked about it daily...Her main concern was to make sure Grammie was going to be there along with Kerry and I...Last year she was a beautiful angel, but this year made the cutest Mary ever!
She couldn't stop waving to us when they all first walked in...
So Mary and Joseph set out to walk to Bethlehem....Here are Mary and Joseph asking the inn keeper if they had any room...The inn keeper (Jack) wouldn't stand up so we could only hear his voice--haha

They arrived at the barn and Mary needed to get some rest...
So Joseph took off his robe and covered her with it...First attempt was on her head...But he fixed it...
Then he went to sleep beside her...
In the night, the angels brought Baby Jesus
Mary is so excited about Jesus' birth
Then all the wisemen came to see Baby Jesus...
The whole class sang "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"...It was so precious and I loved every minute of it...
Sweet Mary after the play holding Baby Jesus....
 Family picture;)
Then back to her classroom for cookies and punch....
She gets to be an angel in the church play this Sunday and I think Kohen is a wiseman or an animal...Not sure yet...But they are both super excited to get on stage at church!!

2nd Bulls Game

I thought last week was exciting because we actually won the game:)...Today's game against the Jefferson Jaguars was intense and exciting because it was a nail biter...We were up, then they would go up...At half-time it was 17-11 and we were losing...This team was good...They had two really good boys that practically were their whole team and played 3 of the 4 quarters....We ended up pulling out the 23-21 win!!!...It was a lot of fun...Kohen played sooooo great...His confidence really showed today...He was being aggressive and taking it down the court...He would pull up a little too early to me but he was making some baskets!!

Here he is warming up with Coach Maurice before the game....

Group talk after the game letting them know they won since no score is kept on the scoreboard...
I counted that he made 3 baskets...When we got in the car, he and Kerry both said he made 4??...Who knows...All I know is that he played great....
We are now 2-0....Last year we only won 2 games the whole season so we already got that!

Santa Pics

Tonight we ran the kiddos up to the mall to take some Santa pictures...
We got to the mall and decided we better go see him first before we ate...Glad we did because there was a little bit of a line and they closed at 7pm...I'm so glad they let us take pictures with my own camera vs paying so much for a picture....
He's a great Santa and I'm glad both my kids aren't frightened of him...

Here they are from 2011...Same Santa and everything:)

SNOW Day

We went to bed last night with the news saying there is a very slight chance of precipitation or snow since it was going to get very cold finally:)...But we really didn't expect anything...I got a call at 6:15 am saying school was delayed until 10:30...Kerry and I were shocked when we looked outside and saw there was quite a bit of snow for us....Sadly, we weren't so excited b/c I had taken the day off and he was doing the same, so he and I could just hang out for no reason...We had never done that before...We were like well there goes 1/2 our day b/c Kresee's school wasn't opening till 11:00...So he went on to work for a bit and ran to the dentist...Kerry had a gum graft the week before last and a stitch had popped loose and he had to get it removed....
I let Kresee sleep in a little bit b/c Kohen never sleeps in...He was so excited seeing all that snow...He just kept saying "mommy it snowed"...I said I know, I know:)
When we heard Kresee start stirring he ran in there to tell her the great news...She's been asking and asking if it would ever snow...I said probably not...Kohen told her and showed her out the window...Over her monitor sitting in my room I just heard the biggest gasp "Oh, it snowed. Is it Christmas??"...I guess she thinks snow means Christmas....
We got them all dressed in their new ski stuff and let them loose with the dogs...The dogs had been out that morning already...Kerry and I had the best time watching Sugar play in the snow for the first time in her life...And Ellie was pretty excited to...They played and ran so fast all over the backyard...

Sugar would not stop eating it...She would stick her whole face in it and be covered...Too precious....

Then we decided to head out front in the fresh untouched snow...I kept warning them how slick the sidewalk and driveway was but they didn't listen and fell down a few times...But they thought it was pretty funny....

Making them wave to me so I could get a picture with them and the house....

They made the best snow angels....

Kerry then called and said school had been officially cancelled for the day...So we went back inside and I cancelled my absence for the day...I made the kids hot chocolate...He brought home whataburger...And we hung out morning long...My sister came and took the kids to lunch and the movies...So Kerry and I still got to hang out for a few hours by ourselves thanks to Aunt TT!!

Bulls Basketball--Game #1

Kohen's 1st basketball game was today against the Holliday Super Heroes; a team that smoked us last year...They look like they are all a year older than our boys...Maybe 2 years when next to Kohen:)...We don't have many expectations this season...We only won 2 games last year and we have the same group of boys coming back...So our goal is to maybe win a few more than last year....

Warming up before the game starts...

Kohen played really well...In fact, everyone played great...We were so surprised at the progress all the boys have made from a year ago...

Now for some reason, this age group no longer keeps score...Everyone basically ties every game...Well I kept score in my head of course b/c I'm super competitive--haha...But the coaches wife has to keep score and track of fouls, shots, etc and we ended up blowing this team away 24-7...I couldn't believe it...The boys were soooo excited that they won their first game...I hope it's a great season...
