Basketball Season

The Bulls ended their basketball season this past Saturday with a win...Thank goodness--haha!!...So they ended up just being 2-6 for the season, but we had so much fun...I really enjoyed watching basketball and I know Kohen will be ready to go next season as well....I didn't take any during the game since I was video taping it for Kohen to watch later....We got out of the gym and went into the hallway since there was another game right after us....Coach Jordan got all the boys trophies....I really can't believe the YMCA doesn't give out a trophy or a medal...So thankful he did that b/c the boys look forward to that at the end of the season....
Kohen patiently waiting on his trophy...He was last to get his:)
Family picture without Miss Kresee...She had a birthday party to attend....
One last group cheer....Go Bulls!
Then attempting a team picture with 9 boys is always fun:)...I took several....
Kohen and Noah....
Kohen and Sam....
Kohen and Coach Jordan.....We are really excited to have Coach Jordan's son, William, play on our soccer team this season:)
Kohen---we are very proud of you and your first time at playing basketball...You worked really hard (most of the time!) and were one of the best little defenders out there....We need to work on you heading straight to the basket vs going in a big loop to the outside before heading inside to shoot it!....You did great and we love watching you have fun sweet boy....

Sweet Siblings

I got out of bed this morning to get my coffee and came back to 2 giggling little kiddos. They thought they were so funny because they took my spot;)

Kresee Leigh

Trying to take a picture of her in the car on the way to Kohen's basketball game Saturday morning...A little blurry....
So I took one later of her...I've had her in pigtails tons, but never braided them...She liked her new hairstyle:)...This is her new squinty smile....
Tonight riding around on her trike in the house...One of her fav things to do....And yes that is her hap head hair that I didn't fix again...I mean we are home, no one will see her....And she's only in her shirt since she took off her jean skirt and leggings!
Smile for me Kresee!!

Friends (sometimes)

You have to take advantage of the days Parker wants to be petted or is willing to let the kids give her some love.

WWE

My dad, Grandpa Randy, and Sallye told Kohen that one of his Christmas gifts was going to the WWE matches in February...Well he has patiently been waiting this day for awhile now...He was super, super excited....
You can't see the excitment on his face here though--haha!!
They said he had a great time...He came home with I think Ray Mysteria shirt and mask??..I know nothing about wrestling....Thanks guys for taking him!!

PETS in KG

My sister came and spoke on behalf of her awesome PETS Low Cost Spay and Neuter clinic today to the KG students...She and a few others are trying to make their rounds into some of the schools to talk about pet safety, how animals help us and of course the main thing which is spaying and neutering your dog/cat....She didn't get into all that with the KG kiddos though:)
Instead she brought her friend Katrina who brought a sweet friend named Wish....The students were doing a lesson on Buster--a service animal--so the teachers thought it would be good to bring in a dog...

Here they are rounding the corner from lunch and seeing this sweet thing waiting for them!
Leslie in front of 44 KG students...They did really well!
Katrina telling them what to do when they would like to pet a dog....
Kohen was soaking it all in...He was super quiet...Never raised his hand or tried to answer any questions....
Then they let 6 kiddos come and show what to do if they approached a dog....
I think all the kids had a great time...And I'm glad most of my teachers over at both Franklin and Sheppard are letting them come and speak to their classes...Important information these kids need to know if they don't hear it at home....

100th Day of School

It was the 100th day of School yesterday (Jan 31st)....Kohen had to draw a self-portrait of himself at 5 years and then again at 100 years old....At 100 years old, he told me he had a cane, cavities, glasses and wrinkles from all the laughing....Too funny!!Then they had a fun afternoon of many activities between the 2 KG classes....Mrs. Evans is explaining all the stations in her classroom that they would complete before switching rooms:)
They had an exercise station where there were 6 different things they had to do 100 times---Here is Kohen counting for Tanner while he ran in place for 100 seconds...
Leonard is doing 100 arm circles...Isaiah is doing 100 jumping jacks....Bella is completely tired
Kohen's turn to jump up and down 100 times....
Then him taking a break:)
They then went into the hallway to guesstimate how far 100 dominoes would go...Kohen did pretty well but guessed too far...They needed about 15 more dominoes to get to his marker....
They had a stamping by 10's booklet station...I didn't get a picture of that one...But the best was the bagels and sausage...They placed them like the number 100 and then ate em up....
I didn't get to take any more pictures....Or any when they went to the other classroom...I had only about 20 mins break between my afternoon group of students...One of the many reasons I love having him at my school...Getting to sneak down the hall to catch some of his KG memories!!
