Fun with Friends

We've been doing lots of swimming lately since the temp has gotten up to 112 degrees. Crazy!!!

Tonight we met up with the Whitfields over at Maw and Papa's house.... Kohen and Jude have the best time together. And Kresee and Ezra just love hanging out. I snapped a quick pic of them before we all headed home for the night.
Friday Thana and her daughter Kaylee joined us and they had a blast swimming for 3 hours straight.

Happy Father's Day!!

We had a great Father's Day celebrating the wonderful daddy that we are blessed with. Kohen and Kresee are some lucky kiddos. And I know Kerry feels pretty special to be their daddy. We had a great day with the family and ended our evening at our favorite spot--Orange Leaf--for some frozen yogurt;)

Pool time

Our poor plastic pools get blown around and cracked and broken from summer to summer. So it was time to break down and go spend $20 on a new pool to keep the kids cool in thus 107 degree weather. And they have a great time allowing me to cook dinner in peace;)

11 Years

On Friday, Kerry and I celebrated our 11th anniversary....He surprised me on Wednesday by texting me early that morning (after I had already put on my gym clothes and got the kids ready) saying I needed to be ready to go at 10:30 in normal everyday attire...So that meant I was not going to have time to go to the gym for 2 hours and actually had to get showered and cleaned up...I went and dropped the kids off and ran to Target instead...Then got ready for him to pick me up at 10:30 am...I had told him that I wanted to go to the Wildcatter this weekend when we went to the lake so I assumed since it was so early we were driving somewhere...I did think the Wildcatter would be a big lunch though?!?...But I would never had thought we were heading to Norman, OK to eat at my all time favorite restaurant--Victoria's Pasta Shop (if you've never been , you need to go!!...So we headed out about 10:45 and drove to OK for a late lunch...It was super yummy!! And I was one happy camper...We then went to OK Runner--a great little store that only sells running gear/shoes/clothes/etc...Kerry wanted someone who knew what they were talking about to tell him what shoe he should be running in...We left with him a brand new pair of Brooks so he can rotate with his new Asics he recently purchased....We then got a frozen yogurt and headed home....Picked up the kids at 5:45 and I ran to zumba at 6:30 (had to work off all that food!)...And when I got home he was ready to go because he wanted to try out his new running shoes around the neighborhood...It was definitely a memorable surprise (since I rarely get surprises from him!).....

Friday we headed to the lake on our actual anniversary but knew we wouldn't have time to do much so we waited and ate at the Wildcatter on Saturday...We rarely get to eat there so it was a great dinner and we were very full.....

Happy 11 years Kerry!!

Ranger Tball Party

Last Saturday we had the boys tball party over at the Thomas house since they have a great pool and shady backyard:)...It was a fun afternoon hanging out and then of course Kohen learned how to swim the next day...He would have loved to been able to swim this day in front of all his friends--haha....I can't wait to go back for another day like this!!

And Kresee loved all of it too...She is a little fish in the water....

Water and more water

Kohen and I spent all afternoon Monday at the IP spray park without Kresee. I brought his cousin Jaxson to play with him. Thursday we went to Castaway Cove all afternoon to ride the big slides, then headed to IP spray park that evening for Jude's birthday party. Friday we headed back out to IP spray park with a bunch of mommies and kiddos. And then we spent the whole weekend at the lake. We are kicking off summer being in the water non-stop and are enjoying it!!

Big Swimmer

It was a big day in Kohen's life. He finally learned how to swim. That was one of my goals for the summer--haha. I made him take his jacket off in the pool and swim just a few feet to me. It didn't take very long before we knew he had it if he just had the confidence. Kerry worked with him and within 20 minutes of trying he was good to go. It was definitely a proud mommy and daddy day too!!

And earlier in the day Kerry found a water-logged snake in the skimmer. We thought he was a goner but after drying him off and giving him a little lovin' he quickly perked up. Kohen's first time to hold a snake;)
