Naked Boy

Kohen can NOT keep his clothes on...The minute we walk in the door his shirt, shorts and shoes are all off in the kitchen...Of course, he kicks them everywhere...So sometimes a shoe lands on the kitchen counter...A shirt on the kitchen table and shorts on the stairs...We have had many a conversation about A) asking if he can strip down to his underwear (b/c we might be leaving again soon) and B) PLEASE putting everything together in one place nicely...He is getting better...As you can tell from most of my pictures I post he is ALWAYS in his underwear...But he really likes to be naked as well...I put fresh water in their blow-up pool and he didn't need a swimsuit...But Kresee ended up playing in the broken cracked plastic pool that can't hold water...And Kohen was "fixing" Kresee's little blue car...He took the seat off to work on the engine and then rode around on it with his naked bottom and no seat:)

Lizard Soccer

I signed Kohen up for soccer this Fall...He has been patiently waiting to turn 4 so that we could sign him up for the following seasn...I know he is going to love it and he is so excited...He picks a different number everyday...So who knows what he will end up with...He is on the Lizards with 5 other boys including his friend, Mitchell...He is our next-door neighbor...I, too, have been waiting on this as well..I'm probably just as excited for him to start sports:)...

The Wiper

Sage has never, ever been able to go outside and use the restroom without half of it still on her bottom...So her entire life, 12.5 yrs, we have had to wipe her when she comes inside...Since Kresee mimics EVERYTHING we do...She was insistent today that she needed to wipe Sage's bottom over and over...No matter what I did to stop her or how I even shooed Sage to move away, Kresee followed her....I finally just had to let her throw a big fit and throw the wipes away....Unfortunately, she can get to her wipes and open them up and take them out when she pleases...Guess I need to re-think that:)

Sleepy Girl

Kohen went to school yesterday and I got a chance to spend the day with Miss Kresee....Yesterday afternoon, she was getting a little fussy...I mentioned the "N" word and she came over as usual to slap me b/c that word is not allowed in her mind...But I knew she was exhausted...So she climbed on the couch and laid down and zonked out!!...She's never done this before...I thought it was too precious....

16 Months

Kresee turned 16 months yesterday....I thought I would try and put her hair in some pigtails...She let me and didn't even try and pull them out...Of course, I couldn't get her to look at the camera...But she still gave me her "Cheeese" face....Her hair has not grown much in the front or the back...But it just grows long on the sides...I'm ready for it to start filling in more...It's crazy when you do their hair how much older they look...I told Kerry she looks like a little girl and he just thought I was an idiot:)

She is really starting to become more adventurous...She can now get up and down from the bed and couch without falling...She is getting braver with slides and just climbing on things in general...She is still not running around by any means but can walk faster....

She is a professional nose-picker....

She has some new words: "oh" for hello, "baba" for Papa, "um, on" for come on, "ah-ah" for hot, "ow eye" for outside, "eeez" for cheese, and then all the wee's, oooh's, wow, ah's just make me smile...She doesn't say no, but will say "uh-uh" when she doesn't want something...She says all the dogs names, but really just like to call them doggies...her favorite is still "day" for Sage....Lately everything is called "Mimi"...Every object or mainly when she wants something she points to it and says "mimi"...I don't know what that is about, but whatever:)...

She can point to a lot of her body parts...She says "eye" for her eye and ear?...

She still loves singing the itsy bitsy spider, but now really likes row, row, row your boat....

She continues to "hate" everyone:)...By that I mean really she doesn't go to just anyone and is pretty timid unless it's Kerry or I...and a few people like Grammie or Papa...She is not a people person...But will give anyone a high-five....

She is definitely a little stinker but in a super fun stage of learning new things everyday...Last night, Kerry caught some frogs and she loved it...Wanted to touch them...I don't think she is really scared of anything (besides people!)...

She has discovered standing on her head and then flipping over...She thinks it's hilarious...I'm waiting for the day she flips and hits or lands on something not so comfortable:)

4th of July

We went to the lake Thursday afternoon for the 4th of July weekend....Kerry took off work Friday and he had Monday off....So it was a very nice, long weekend...The kids had a blast...All the cousins got along great...Yesterday, I think Kohen and Jaxson were a little sick of each other...But overall, they did well.....We had a good mix of going out on the busy lake and staying at the house hanging out and playing with the kids....This was probably the first time that Kerry and I "let go" a little bit and let Kohen venture on his own with Jaxson...I think he loved having some freedom exploring....Kresee did well on Saturday...We made sure she got a late afternoon nap so she could watch the fireworks that night...She is usually in bed at 8:00, so a 9:40 firework show is way past her bedtime...But she made it and loved watching them...She did a lot of "oooh, ahhh, and wow".....We ate a lot as usual for the lake...I made some new recipes that I will have to post so you can try them:)...But Kerry and I jogged every day (all 4 days) which isn't the easiest down there with all the hills....But we managed to do 3 miles and I was very proud of myself since I am NOT a runner...I packed all these clothes like I normally do and I don't think the kids were clothes the whole time...Kohen lives in his underwear...So he was in his swimshorts or underwear...Kresee just hung out in her diaper or swimsuit the whole weekend as well:)

Kresee LOVED throwing those Pop-Its....She did a whole bag by herself...Wasn't scared of them at all....

Jumping Around

I took the kids to Jump for Joy on Thursday....Just trying to pass the time before we headed to the lake...I had packed and they needed to burn some energy instead of totally tearing up our house before we left for 4 days:)....Kresee has only been once or twice and she wasn't quite sure of it....But last week she had a blast...We had planned on going from 10-12 when only kids 5 & under were allowed...But we were having such a good time doing things like playing in the hamper and toy basket that we didn't go until 12...There still weren't many kids there and it was perfect....
