Weekend Wrap-Up

We hung out a lot this weekend since Kresee was sick....She acted fine for the most part but we didn't really want to get out and about....

The picture on my header cracks me up...I can't stop looking at it and laughing...I swear that boy can't take a normal picture....I try all the time for one sweet one of the 2 of them and this is what he gives me.....This one was a little betterAnyways, Kresee loves the darn stairs....If I'm doing anything and I can't find her...I know exactly where to look....On Saturday I just stood there and let her climb all the way up....

What mom???

She wanted to see what was all up there??...I've made it halfway up the stairs with the jumperoo and exersaucer...Still too lazy to actually put it all in the attic...Then I have a bag full of toys that I took to work that last week before Christmas break to test a 2 yr old and I've yet to clean them and return them to my children.....

She made it to the landing and realized Wow, there are more stairs.....

Better stop and rest......

And then I took Kohen's picture and very nicely he said "No thank you, I don't want my picture made".....

And he proceeded to go up in the upstairs room and shut the door on her and she wanted in really badly...But we just went right back downstairs to where it was warm:).....But he begged to bring a toy down....We have too many right now that are all piled up in our bedroom, but I let him bring down the bball game....He loved this when he was a little guy and Kresee couldn't wait to play it....He decided he needed the clothes hamper to sit on and she wanted up there too....

So now it is sitting in our room amongst all the other million toys.....But she really loves playing with this....

He assured me he wasn't tired and didn't need a nap...I fed Kresee at 5:30 sitting on our bed...He sat in his chair to watch the football game...Next thing I know I can hear him breathing heavier...I told Kerry he was asleep...Kerry said no, he is sitting right there....I said to take a look and yep, this was Kohen dead asleep sitting straight up.....

So Kerry got the other chair and a blanket to make him a bit more comfortable....

On Saturday evening, we put up one sticker on Kohen's wall for his FatHead....We wanted to try out the small one to see A) if it would attach and B)if it would stick for hours or overnight before we stuck the huge one up....Kohen was obsessed with it---keep checking to make sure it was still sticking....

So yesterday, we told him we would put up Adrian Peterson....He was super excited....And it looks great and we also added the OU helmet and Sooner sign as well....It is huge!!!!

And Kresee is doing great....I think her ear feels much better and she isn't super snotty anymore:)

SIck Baby

Kresee has had a snotty nose and a little cough for about a week now....But Thursday night, she was acting more tired than usual....It was about 7:30 and I knew she wasn't going to make it to her 8:00 bedtime, so I went ahead and gave her some cough medicine (which she has a hard time taking---she shudders, sneezes, and coughs EVERY time she takes it)....She kind of kept burping though...At 7:45 Kerry and I went into her room to give her a bottle and he was checking her room temperature and she was still burping...I even commented are you going to throw up and then then she did all over the both of us....The first time that's ever happened and she felt a tad warm...She wasn't running a fever but she had a 100.2....So I let her drink 3 oz of her bottle and held her for the next hour in our room while she slept to make sure she didn't throw up again...We think it was from all the drainage and the medicine since she never threw up again and her temp never went any higher....She woke up around 9:00 and drank 2 more oz and then we let her sleep in our room for the night.....To be on the safe side I took off work yesterday and ran her in to see Dr. Yap....End result--poor thing has a right ear infection (first one) and a sinus infection (since the snotty nose and cough has lasted more than 7 days)....So I had to run and get her first antibiotic...She did fine yesterday, but looked like she felt bad...Took 3 naps and they actually lasted longer than 30 mins....But she slept from 8-8 last night and only whined one time around midnight...So I think she is already doing better today and she isn't pulling at her ears as much today....Hoping this is not the start of fun ear infections...

Working Out

My mom came over the other day and Kerry and I went to the gym why she watched the kids....Kohen wanted to know where we were going...She told him that we were going to the gym and then he wanted to know why...She said so mommy can be skinny....Kerry and I ran to the gym and Kohen was in the bathtub when we came home and he hears us come in and yells "Mommy, are you skinny?".....

The next afternoon I was watching the Biggest Loser and I think Kohen sat there and watched the whole thing with me....He was very interested in why everyone was crying (when they were weighing) and then why was everyone yelling (when working out)...So I was explaining how you have to exercise to be healthy along with eating good and sleeping well...So he thought afterwards he needed a good workout and got out my hand-weights....He's been "working out" everyday with these darn things:)

10 Months

This pretty girl is 10 months old....What is she up to these days:

• i'm just guessing she is still a little over 19 lbs
  
• she is still wearing size 3 diapers
  
  
• she wears anywhere from 6 mos-12 mos clothes

• size 3 shoes (for the whole 2 minutes that she wears them)



• still loves to eat her socks and has the right one pulled off before i even get her left one on
• gets blocked from all kohen's toys on a daily basis...he has set up the chairs as a barricade


• she is walking like crazy behind her walkers

• she is scaling everything (couches, coffee table, bed, etc)
• she can stand up by herself (on accident) and then hits the deck once she realizes she is doing it
• says dada, mama, something close to hi/hey, di-di (bye/bye), da-du (thank you)
• loves "talking" on the phone

• loves turning the channels on the TV

• loves brushing her hair
• and recently loves getting her teeth (2 bottom ones) brushed

• loves handing you things

• loves cleaning up messes (putting blocks in the box or kohen's football players in the bucket)
• loves eating her toes

• loves to sing patty cake and itsy bitsy spider
• still isn't the best eater (food), but nurses and takes bottles like a champ
• loves her big brother like crazy

• and she is getting more hair but nothing like kohen....he had his first haircut 4 days before his 10 month bday....i think we have awhile before she needs a haircut!!....she does not wear the headband anymore but will let me clip in small bows now

I could go on and on about her, but I've bored you enough:)....Sadly, I started looking at first birthday invitations today!!...That will be here before I know it....

Too Cute!

I feel like this a lot!!....Kohen is such a mommy's boy (eventhough he's gotten soooo much better)...It amazes me how much he still loves me even when I'm not in the best mood or maybe not so nice to him....And he knows when he's driving me a bit bonkers....He will smile and sit next to me or hug me and tell me how much he loves me....
Then you have Kresee who honestly loves both her mommy and daddy, but man she just wants to be whereever Kohen is...If she could hang on to him like this picture, she would...I try to tell him how much she wants to be his friend.....He does like her 80% of the time:)

New Year's Eve

Kerry and I enjoyed some Mexican food at a friend's house while my mom watched the kiddos on New Year's Eve....I wanted to be able to stay out past 8:00 (Kresee's bedtime)...We got home around 9:45 and Kohen was still up so he got to put on his party hat that Katie got him...Kresee had to wait until New Year's Day to wear hers....I think I dozed off about 10:45 but Kohen woke me up and I realized that we could all watch the ball drop in NYC at 11:00, so the 3 of us did that...Kohen really enjoyed it wondering if the ball broke or not...So we just tried to explain what it all meant....And then I was probably back asleep by 11:05!!...

2009 was a good year for all of us....We got to welcome our sweet baby girl into our family...She has just been wonderful and we can't imagine life without her....We watched as Kohen turned 3 and he just amazes us everyday....Yesterday during one of his 100 questions, I had to stop and think about how lucky we are to have such a smart and inquisitive boy...Yes, his questions drive me bonkers sometimes, but I love it.....Kerry and I turned 29 and now we have the big 3-0 to look forward too...We also have our 10 year anniversary this summer!!....So I think 2010 will be another great year for our family:)....
